Welcome to August. It is the eighth month of the year already! The year feels like it’s flying, right?
Anyway,
I hope this message finds you in good health and with renewed enthusiasm as we step into the wonderful month of August. As you embark on this journey, take a moment to reflect on the incredible achievements and memorable events that unfolded during the past month(s).
The last month was a busy month for the executive council as well as for the members of UADS. The following activities took place:
1. COURTESY VISIT TO THE DEAN AND SUB-DEAN: The executive council paid courtesy visits to the Dean and Sub-dean of Dentistry on the 5th and 10th of July respectively. The meeting was to introduce the executive council to the college, as well as to intimate them of the plans for the tenure. We look forward to a smooth working relationship with the college!
2. COMMITTEES SET-UP: All committees were set up in July and have started work in full force. (Side note: A committee takes everyone to tango so you have to talk on the group page😏. Yeah, this is your cue to make contributions to your various committees).
3. SPORTS: July was a sport-y month for UADS. Volleyball trainings held every Saturday on the volleyball pitch and every member of UADS is encouraged to join the trainings. The first training for the male football team held on Sunday, 30th July 2023 and will hold subsequently every Sunday. Interested members are invited to be a part.
