Happy new month, my favorite pen-pals. If you are reading this newsletter for the first time this year, a happy new year to you♥️. How was January for you? (You can reply. I genuinely want to hear from you).
January was a flurry of events in UADS- Academic events, MB Talk et cetera.
PRE - MB Talk: The 300Level students, in preparation for the first professional examination (MB1), had a talk with Dr. Atiba, organized by the office of the Special Duties Officer (S.D.O). She gave them tips and tricks as well as much-needed words of encouragement.
MB V RESULT: As the curtains of their undergraduate learning gradually comes to a close, the 600 level students got the results to the MB part IV exam and it was a huge success. To top it off, three students, in persons of Akpa Simon, Dike Emmanuela and Oluwalana had distinctions in Oral Pathology, with Dike Emmanuela bagging an extra distinction in Child Oral Health. Wheeew! A bout of sadness hit me whenever I remember that they will be graduating in few month's time🥲.
UADS INTER-QUIZ CLUB COMPETITION: On 27th of January, the quiz club had a quiz competition, to showcase the knowledge acquired over the course of the tenure and prepare the members for future quiz competitions. It was very competitive, and the winners were well compensated at the end of the competition. In addition the UADS Quiz club had an unveiling of the new name of the quiz club, “Mavericks Quiz Club” and this will be the name going forward.
What are we to expect in February?
JAW WAR!: You can tell that I've been itching to talk about this since the start of the newsletter. JAW war has started (in case you did not know), and our beloved faculty will speak against Faculty of public health on the Saturday, 3rd of February, 2024. Let us all come out massively and support our speakers.

In preparation for the MB1 Examination, the Academic Committee has organized a mock examination, coming up on Saturday, 3rd of February 2024 at 10AM. All details are contained in the flyer above. The 300 eleven students are enjoined to come test themselves and Guage their preparedness.
Healthweek is coming! What are you doing in your committee? As Healthweek draws closer, committee heads have all gotten to the point where any money is money. Kindly support your committee by actively participating, actively looking for sponsors and contributing deliberately.
My Dearest 300Level students, we (I) cannot wait to have you here. This too shall pass! As you continue preparation for your examination, ensure you rest well, eat well and do the needfuls. We are all rooting for you.
To the 500Level students begining their exams this month, we are all rooting for you and hope you all come.out in flying colors.
